12 injured as car rams into commuters in Capital

At least 12 people were injured when a private car hit them in front of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) headquarters in the Capital on Thursday. The car (Ba 18 Cha 4873) belonging to one Bhesh Raj Paudel hit the commuters while exiting from the parking space of NAC, informed DSP Tikunanda Iwa Limbu. Limbu said that the injured commuters who sustained minor injuries were taken to the Trauma Center nearby. DSP Limbu further revealed that car driver Paudel claimed that the accident happened due to brake failure. Paudel, however, has been arrested for reckless driving.
