Tipper knocks down motorcyclist fatally

A motorcyclist died after a tipper hit the two-wheeler at Patharishanishchare Municipality-10 in Morang district along the East-West Highway last night. Thirty-year old Padam Rajbansi of Mechinagar Municipality-14 of Jhapa district passed away after the motorcycle (Ba 64 Pa 1991) was hit by the tipper (Ko 1 Kha 5752) from the same direction, police confirmed. Seriously injured in the incident, Rajbansi died on the way to the hospital in Urlabari, Morang. According to Police Inspector Kamal Bajgain, the tipper driver has fled the scene.
