NC central committee discusses statute

The main opposition party Nepal Congress (NC) has convened central committee meeting to discuss about its federal statute. Coordinator of the committee to draft amended statute and NC General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka will present the draft statute for discussion during the meeting that started at the party office in Sanepa at 10 Sunday morning. The issues of office-bearers, number of central committee members and party membership among others have yet to be decided. Each central committee member will be provided with a copy of the draft statute for study. NC Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma said the meeting will also focus on the mahasamiti meeting scheduled for mid-December. The party plans to complete drafting of statute, and discuss on the party’s organizational and financial reports before the mahasamiti meeting.
