18 killed in bus accident in Dadeldhura

At least 18 persons have been killed and 27 injured in a bus accident at Raduwakhola of Amargadhi municipality in Dadeldhura Thursday evening. The bus (Se 1 Ka 293) of Peace Zone Academy of Shikhar municipality, Doti met with an accident while returning from a fair at Ugratara Temple to Amargadhi. The bus plunged around 300 meters down from the KI Singh Highway, DSP Dambar Bahadur KC of District Police Office, Dadeldhura told Setopati. Medical Superintendent at the Dadeldhura Sub-regional Hospital Dr Jitendra Kandel said 13 men and five women have been killed in the accident. Thirteen persons are still undergoing treatment there while 14 have been referred to Dhangadi for further treatment. Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and Nepal Army rescued the injured passengers.
