Chinese national held with US$ 126,000

A Chinese national has been arrested from the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) with US dollars 126,400 on Monday. "We recovered the amount from a Chinese national going to Guangzhou in course of security checkup," Chief of TIA Police DIG Sher Bahadur Basnet told Setopati. "We are investigating about the source of money and the Chinese national's network in Nepal." DIG Basnet said the Chinese national claimed he was taking the foreign currency for business purpose but was not been able to reveal the source of that amount. The nabbed Chinese national has been handed over to the Department of Revenue Investigation.
