A minor girl with weak financial background and hailing from Beni district suffering a cardiac and liver ailment has received financial support from a social organization in the district.
Thirteen-year-old Sapana Mijar, who recently underwent a liver surgery and is undergoing treatment at the Kathmandu-based Sahid Gangalal Hospital, has been provided with Rs 20,155 by the Mijar Samaj, Myagdi.
Samaj's Chairperson Suklal Kishan handed over the amount to the patient and her mother, Naina Mijar, Thursday.
Kishan said that the support was aimed at providing aid to the minor for her treatment since she has to receive regular treatment on a monthly basis for a year post surgery.
With the demise of the breadwinner in the family, availing treatment for Sapana had been a herculean task for her family. Sapana, the eldest children in her family, has two junior brothers and her mother is physically disable, according to him.
The Samaj has also appealed to the public to support the cause of Sapana and help her with her dream to live more.
