Jaimini municipality of Baglung district has initiated the task of addressing public complaints through mobile apps.
The municipality came up with the mobile apps-based practice to listen to the public queries and concerns on the municipality’s actions and performances.
Deputy Mayor Leela Rana said the apps which was initially put into practice for informing municipality’s policy, program, plan and budget. Now it is used to settle public concerns, complaints and grievances.
With the rise in the use of mobile apps along with advancement of technology, the municipality has brought into operation its own apps for the convenience of the general public.
“Every people have mobile phone now. We have developed our own apps to inform the general public about the facilities and services of the municipality”, she added.
“The mobile app will be a good experiment for maintaining transparency in municipality’s works”, she asserted.
