Fugitive former CEO of KIST Bank arrested

The fugitive former chief executive officer of the then KIST Bank Kamal Gyawali, convicted of banking offense, has been arrested. The Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested him in India and brought to Kathmandu. Gyawali was absconding after his wife Gauri Khanal was arrested by the police over banking offense in 2013. The then Patan Appellate Court had convicted Gyawali and his wife Khanal in 2016.
