President extends greetings on Jitiya festival

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that the festivals of the country help maintain unity in diversity, religious tolerance and social goodwill, hence their originality needs to be preserved and continued. In a message today on the occasion of Jitiya festival, President Bhandari has said that the various festivals observed in our country diverse with various ethnicity, language and culture have helped protect and promote their own norms and values. She has also extended best wishes for happiness, peace and prosperity for all Nepali sisters living at home and broad, and observing this festival wishing for happiness of their family and long-life of their loved ones.
