A suspension bridge over the Thulokhola of Dhawalagiri rural municipality-6 of Myagdi was swept away by flood last night.
The flood in the Thulokhola river also has eroded hundreds of bigha land at the locality, said the rural municipality ward chair Rajaram Subedi.
The wooden bridge constructed over the river along the way to Malkwang, Bhedikhalda, Aarbang, Ghantibang, Rikh was swept away by the floods. The floods have disconnected the villagers.
The locals at the areas are cut off from traveling in the area as they cannot cross the river. Students at Marang-based Jana Bikas Secondary School are unable to go to school due to this.
The local settlements and Harihar temple among other structures are in high risk of landslide there.
