Construction of three motorable bridges along Myagdi section under Beni-Jomsom road has been accelerated, said the project officials.
The projects are expected to facilitate transportation connecting Beni-Josom-Korala having importance of the inter-national trade. Himm Sagarmatha-Dange-Bajraguri JV has been contracted two of the projects, one at Pokharebagar and another at Mahabhir, at Rs 190 million.
Their construction has been accelerated, said the project's sub-engineer Tika Regmi. The 11-meters wide bridges will have two lanes. Construction of the 80 meters long bridge at Mahabhir has reached more than halfway, while laying concrete slabs for another 70-meters long Pokharebagar bridge is speeding up, said Umesh Gartaula, a representative of the construction company. Its completion target is two years.
Similarly, the construction of the third 40-meters log and 11-meters wide bridge at Raghuganga has completed its preliminary stage, said Jagat Prajapati, engineer for the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road project.
The construction contract was awarded to Lika Gajurmukhi JV at over Rs 62 million. The project completion target is until the Nepali month of Chaitra, 2056 B.S.
