Cycle rally to promote Chandragiri as tourism hub

A cycle rally was organized in the capital Saturday for the promotion of of Chandragiri as tourist destination. Theme of the event was 'Chandragiri Tourist Town: Ride to Chandragiri'. As many as 250 bicycle riders participated in the rally. The ride started from Old Naikab and ended at the same place before going through Dahachowk, Wardbhanjyang, Thankot, Check Post, Matathirtha, Bishnudevi and New Naikab. Inaugurating the event earlier, Rama Alemagar, Chairperson of the Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment Development Committee of Province 3, said the event would help realize Nepal's goal to bring in two million tourists by 2020. She also stressed the need for carrying out publicity-related activities and making arrangements to make Chandragiri, a tourist destination, known to all. Mayor of Chandragiri municipality Ghana Shyam Giri underscored the need for all to unite and support the development and promotion of Chandragiri.
