Lightning kills one in Ilam

A woman was killed when lightning struck her here on Tuesday. The deceased is 36-year-old Kumari Yonghang of Mai municipaity-1. She was struck by the thunder bolt while taking tea at her neighbor's house at local Palase. Yonghang had been living in a rented room at Palase. The District Police Office, Ilam said Yonghang who sustained serious burn injuries in the incident, died in course of treatment. Two more women including Tika Maya Yonghang and Prakriti Phatra were injured in the incident. They are receiving medical attention in Birtamod, Jhapa.
