Abducted eight-month-old baby murdered in Mahottari

Eight-month-old baby, who was abducted from her house on Sunday evening, was found dead in a jungle at Aurahi-8 of Mahottari district Monday afternoon. "The body of baby, daughter of Santosh Chaudhary, was found in a jungle at Aurahi-8 on Monday," Mahottari SP Ishwor Babu Karki informed. According to Karki, the baby went missing at 6:15 pm on Sunday. The relatives called police only two hours later saying that one of the eye-witnesses saw a person taking her. SP Karki said the baby could not be rescued although they started rescue operation from Sunday night itself. There was blood in mouth of the baby. "Preliminary investigation has been started," Karki said, "The body has been taken for post-mortem." He revealed that the murderer has been identified. A large number of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel have been mobilized in search of the person. "Who can have enmity with an eight-month-old baby?" Karki said, "We're actively investigating to know the reality."
