The District Administration Office in Kanchanpur has decided to impose a curfew at Bhimdutta tonight.
According to the Kanchanpur District Administration Office, the curfew order shall remain into force from 6 pm today to 5 am tomorrow, Tuesday.
It is applied at various places of wards 4, 6 and 18 of the Bhimdutta municipality. Prior to this, the local administration had issued a curfew order here from 12 noon to 6 pm today and a meeting of the District Coordination Committee concluded a while ago agreed to change in the schedule of curfew order, Chief District Officer, Taranath Adhikari said.
The Mahendranagar bazaar has remained open following the decision to reschedule the curfew. Educational institutions have remained closed, however. The local administration clamped a curfew from Friday following tense ran high after 14-year-old boy was killed in police firing during the protest against the rape and murder of 13-year-old Nirmala Panta of Kholti in Bhimdutta municipality-2 last month.
