Body of missing teenager found at Phewa bank

The body of a teenager has been found on the bank of Phewa Lake of Pokhara on Monday. Sushmita Lamichhane, 17, a local of Pumdibhumdi of Pokhara, was missing from Sunday night. "Relatives of Sushmita said she had left the house at 4:30 pm on Sunday and was in contact until midnight. She did not contact after sending a goodbye message at midnight," according to police. Police launched the investigation after they found her bag and mobile on the bank of Phewa Lake. She was studying at Grade 10 in Chhorepatan Higher Secondary School. "We found her body after finding the bag and mobile near the bank," spokesperson at the District Police Office, Kaski and DSP Rabindra Man Gurung said. Police have begun additional investigation into the case.
