At least 10 persons have been injured in a clash between locals and Muslim community at Loharpatti of Mahottari on Wednesday.
The clash reportedly ensued after some Muslim community gathered there to perform a Namaj prayers.
"Police fired two rounds of tear gas shells to contain the crowd," informed police spokesperson SSP Shailesh Thapa Chettri.
The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment. A large number of security personnel have been deployed in that area.
The Muslim community across the country is observing the Bakar-Eid on Wednesday.
