Pasang Lhamu Highway closed

Traffic along the Nuwakot-Rasuwa way on the Pasang Lhamu Highway has been obstructed after the flooded Gerkhu river washed away a section of the road in Trishuli-Betrawati section. Flood water from the river washed away the road on both the sides of the bridge over the river this morning, bringing traffic between Nuwakot and Rasuwa to a standstill since this morning, the District Police Office has said. Efforts have begun to resume traffic by working on the damaged section of the road in collaboration with the Galchi-Trishuli-Mailung-Syafrubesi-Rasuwagadhi road project, police said.
