At least four people were killed and other 17 injured in a road crash at Ratnanagar municipality Tuesday night.
The accident took place when a Narayangadh-bound loaded truck (Na 5 Kha 5941) from east and a commuter bus (Na 5 Kha 1749) belonging to Makalu Transport en route to Kakadbhitta from Kathmandu collided with each other.
Deputy Superintendant of Police Prabhu Prasad Dhakal informed that truck driver Mohan Ghising, 34, and helper Buddhiman Lama, 30, of Chapur, Rautahat and bus passengers Bishnu Prasad Thapa, 48, of Thankot, Kathmandu and Tara Baral, 42, of Khumjing municipality-1 died in the mishap that took place at Bhanuchowk of Ratnanagar municipality-10 along the East-West Highway.
All the four died in course of treatment. Among the injured, 13 are being treated in the old Medical College and four in Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur.
