Police have arrested two people with banned Indian currency notes with value of INR 1.270 million from Durbarmarg on Monday.
Acting on tip-off, the police team of Metropolitan Police Circle, Durbarmarg arrested 53-year-old Rajendra Shrestha of Maipi and 43-year-old Suraj Malla of Madi rural municipality in Kaski along with the banned Indian notes.
Police informed that the Indian notes in denomination of 1000 and 500 was seized from the arrestees.
"Investigation will be launched against them," police said.
