Swollen rivers in Capital create havoc (Photos)

Floods in most of the rivers and streams in the Capital triggered by incessant rainfall last night have hit the denizens hard. Swollen rivers including Bagmati, Bishnumati, Manohara have created havoc in the Kathmandu Valley. Similarly, a parked car was swept away by the flood at Mahalaxmi municipality-8 in Godawari on Sunday evening. A culvert was constructed by demolishing a concrete bridge over Godawari river to expand the four lane Godawari-Satdobato road section. The car (Ba 14 Cha 4749) belonging to Prem Raj Lawati, a local of Lubhu was parked by the side of the culvert.
