An aftershock measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale with its epicenter around Namdu of Dolakha district has been recorded Thursday afternoon.
The aftershock of the Gorkha earthquake was felt at 2:32 pm, according the National Seismological Center.
Earlier on July 24, an aftershock measuring 4.8 on the Richter Scale with its epicenter around Gajuri of Dhading was recorded.
Center Chief Lok Bijaya Adhikari said that a total of 506 aftershocks above 4 on the Richter scale have been recorded so far since the Gorkha earthquake (25th April 2015).
