World Breastfeeding Day being observed today

The World Breastfeeding Day is being observed Wednesday across the globe. Nepal is also marking the Day, organizing various public awareness programs for a week. The Day is observed for a week in Nepal, encouraging the lactating women to continue breastfeeding regularly till six months of the child birth. This year, the Day is being observed with the slogan of 'Breastfeeding: Foundation of Life.' Mother's milk is essential for immunity in infant. Breastfeeding is also a contraceptive.
