A Fly Dubai flight to Dubai has been stopped at the Tribhuvan International Airport on Sunday due to an inebriated pilot.
Members of the flight crew complained with the TIA administration after finding that the pilot was drunk, according to a TIA source. "We have done medical test of a pilot after receiving complaint that he was in an abnormal state.
We have yet to receive the report though," TIA Chief Raj Kumar Chhetri told Setopati.
The flight that was scheduled to take off at 9:40 in the morning is at the airport at the time of filing this report after the TIA administration asked for a replacement pilot.
Fly Dubai has said that a replacement pilot will arrive but has yet to reveal when the flight will take off. Passengers who reached the airport early in the morning are left waiting due to the delay.
