An aftershock of the Gorkha Earthquake with its epicenter around Gajuri of Dhading district was felt Tuesday morning.
The magnitude 4.8 tremor occurred at 8:30 am Tueday, the National Seismological Center stated. Center's chief, Lok Bijaya Adhikari said that the epicenter of the latest Gorkha earthquake was located around Gajuri in Dhading.
Before this, an aftershock measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale and with its epicenter around Jharlang of Dhading was recorded by the Center on July 5. Another aftershock measuring 5 on the Richter scale and with epicenter around Sunaulo Bazar, Dhading was recorded on June 28.
According to chief seismologist Adhikari, 505 aftershocks measuring 4 or above have occurred so far since the Gorkha Earthquake (7.6 Richter scale) of April 25, 2015.
