Kathmandu Metropolitan City has started placing dustbins in public places in the city to manage garbage thrown by pedestrians.
Under the campaign with the slogan 'Healthy city life from safe environment', dustbins have been put in place in different areas of KMC-7, and that it will be expanded to other wards, said chairperson of KMC-7 Suddha Kumar Dangol at a program here on Saturday.
On the occasion, Chairperson of St. Lawrence College based in KMC-7 Keshab Prasad Dangal handed over 50 dustbins bearing the capacity of 70 liters each to ward leadership, The dustbins will be set up in public places.
Ward chair Dangol said the ward prioritizes the development of quality lifestyle.
