Police on Wednesday arrested three Indian nationals along with undeclared gold from Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
Police spokesperson at TIA SP Dinesh Raj Mainali said that three Indian nationals including Faijan Khan, Adil Khan and Siddha Mohammad Qasif coming from Dubai via Air Arabia (flight number G9539) were arrested along with 5.9 kilograms of undeclared gold at 9:30 am on Wednesday. They concealed the gold inside their mouths.
They have been sent to the customs office of TIA to for investigation.
Earlier, the police had arrested two Indian nationals with illegal gold on Tuesday.
The committee formed some months ago by the government has revealed that 38 quintals of gold has been smuggled in the past five years via TIA.
