Father appeals for support to treat his ailing daughter

A father here has appealed to all generous hearts for help in the treatment of his daughter suffering from blood cancer. Eight-year-old Shirisha Lamichhane of Madhabpur of Ratnanagar Municipality -15 has been undergoing treatment for blood cancer at the Bharatpur-based BP Koirala Memorial Hospital for the past three weeks. The family's economic condition is not good and it has expected help from others so that they could continue her treatment. The family has already spent Rs 400,000 in her treatment and is told by doctors that it would cost additional Rs 2.5 million to complete the treatment. A fundraising campaign has been launched through the social network Facebook and so far Rs 50,000 has been collected. Anyone wishing to help the girl are requested to deposit assistance amount on the Himalayan Bank account number 00807353560019 owned by Shirisha. Shirisha's mother had left the family few years ago and her father is alone taking the responsibility of her care.
