Increasing temperature in Siraha, the tarai district in Province 2,for the past few days has adversely affected the normal life. As locals said they are finding it very hard to even come out of home as heat wave continues to sweep across the district for the past few days. The scorching heat has affected the market activities and hit educational institutions and government offices as well.
Schools here have already started morning sessions to avoid hotter classes at daytime. Children have started facing its negative health impact. Business of cold drinks, juice and fruits has soared. A less number of service seekers are visiting the government services while the flow of patients in the health facilities has surged.
