Two arrested with pangolin hide and scales

Police have arrested two persons in possession of pangolin hide and scales from Mangalbare Bazaar. Santosh Magar, 28, of Deumai municipality – 4 and Kifurbu Bhote, 50, of Chepuwa in Sankhuwasabha and currently living at Tulsipath of Dharan – 15 were arrested during a checking on Sunday. They were arrested during a checking of motorbike (Me 9 Pa 2909). Police seized 4.2 kilograms of hide and scales, District Police Office, Ilam's Superintendent of Police (SP) Madhav Prasad Shrestha said. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
