Scholarship provided to 24 students in memory of Madan-Ashrit

Scholarships have been provided to 24 meritorious students coming from economically poor families on the occasion of the 25th Madan-Ashrit Memorial Day. The scholarships were provided to the students organizing a program on the 14th AGM of Madan-Ashrit Memorial Revolving Fund Friday. The students provided with the stipend are Shakti Barnawal, Sneha Shakya, Priyanka Gurung, Bishal Gyawali, Priya Gurung, Kshama Pandey, Prerana Rana, Sandhya Khadka, Sunil Sunar, Roshani Tamang, Soman Gurung, Sima Rana, Kavi Parajuli, Shyam Bihari Tharu, Ritika Chaudhary, Narmada Poudel, Karan Kumal, Tara Tharu, Yogita Sapkota and Rama Bhandari. Speaking in the program, communist leader Devendra Ghimire said that party unification between then CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) was a real tribute to late leaders Bhandari and Ashrit.
