Arms and ammunition case to be filed against Srinivas Acharya

Morang Police on Tuesday is preparing to file a case related to arms and ammunition against Hindu guru Srinivas Acharya who staged attack on himself. "Preparation is underway to file a case against Acharya who was arrested from Kathmandu on charge of getting himself shot on Monday," Morang Police Chief SP Arun BC said. The police have also filed a case of murder against Madhav Chaudhary and Laxmi Raj Adhikari, who were arrested for their involvement in the attack. Chaudhary, who shot Acharya on April 8, was Acharya's bodyguard whereas Adhikari had arranged weapons. Acharya, who stays at an ashram in Prakashpur, Sunsaru, is a leading figure among those campaigning to declare Nepal a Hindu state. He was arrested in August 2015 in course of the movement he started demanding Nepal be made a Hindu state.
