Woman waiting for child delivery dies in District Hospital Tehrathum

A woman died from labor pain at the District Hospital, Tehrathum. Ratnamaya Magar, 35, of Ambung of Myanglung municipality-8, who arrived at the hospital three days ago for delivery, succumbed on Monday evening. The family and women rights activists based in the district have blamed the negligence of the hospital for her death. Now, the hospital atmosphere is tensed as her relatives and rights activists have protested it. The hospital administration has mobilized the security personnel to avoid any untoward incident. The family has claimed that Ratnamaya died before the start of labor pain. The hospital administration is yet to give its official statement on the matter.
