A female rhino to be gifted to China has been captured on Tuesday from Chitwan National Park (CNP).
"The rhino aged around 2 was taken under control from Sukhibhar of the CNP," said Chief Conservation Officer at the CNP Bed Kumar Dhakal, adding that the captured rhino was brought to Sauraha Tuesday itself where it would be kept in a confine for at least three months before sending it to China.
Earlier a few days ago, a male rhino to be gifted to China was captured from the CNP. Upon request of the Chinese government, the government had decided to present two pairs of rhinos to China two years ago.
