Around Rs 7 million estimated to conduct Rato Machhindranath chariot festival

The expenditure for conducting this year's Rato Machhindranath chariot festival is estimated to be around Rs seven million. Chief of Lalitpur Chapter of Guthi Sansthan Shailendra Poudel said that the expenditure for the Rato Machhindranath festival is increased by five to ten per cent every year. He said, "Additional budget was necessary to manage the festival as remuneration of workers involved in constructing the chariot has also increased."
