106 people rescued in nine months from Nepal-India border

A total of 106 persons have been rescued from Jhulaghat of Nepal-India border in the first nine months of the current fiscal year. Border Police Post, Jhulaghat said that the number of boy children is highest among the rescued ones. Sub-Inspector of border Police Post Chakradev Pandey said 56 minor boys, 25 teens, nine males, six teen girls, five minor girls and five women were rescued during the period. Pandey said that most of the rescued children and persons are from 12 to 18 years of age. According to the police, the schoolchildren leave for India to escape poverty and harsh life back in home by being swayed from their friends and peer. Likewise, the police have rescued some minor couples from the Nepal-India border. The people of hilly districts in the Province No. 7 and people from Jumla, Kalikot and Humla use the Jhulaghat border point in Baitadi to leave for India.
