Telemedicine services are to be started at the District Hospital and health centers in Lamjung district.
The District Public Health Office has announced that telemedicine services would be initiated for the benefit of the people and to train the health workers in the district.
Office chief Keshav Chapagain said senior doctors from Kathmandu would provide the telemedicine services through the District Hospital and other health centers in the district.
A trial run of the service was conducted at the Lamjung District Community Hospital on Friday in this connection, during which physicians from the National Center for Rheumatic Diseases imparted training to the district-based health workers on treatment of rheumatic diseases.
