Independent candidate Chhakka Bahadur Lama has won the electoral seat for the House of Representatives from Humla, a mountainous district in the Province 6. Lama secured 8,491 votes to win the election held on November 26 with a slight margin against his nearest rival Mangal Bahadur Shahi of Nepali Congress who finished the race with 8,444 votes.
Likewise, towards the State Assembly election, CPN-UML's Dal Bahadur Rawal, the common candidate from the left alliance, has become victorious in the Humla (A). Presently, vote count for the State Assembly (B) is underway, Chief District Election Officer Mohani Prasad Poudel said.
