Elections taking place peacefully: GEOC

The General Election Observation Committee (GEOC) has said the second phase of the elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies is taking place peacefully in 45 districts of seven provinces. In a press statement Thursday, the GEOC has said that during the monitoring of the today's election, it has found enthusiastic participation of voters. It has mobilized around 500 election observers in the polls. The entire preparations for the polls including the management of voting officers and transportation of election materials made by the Election Commission and other security arrangements have been found satisfactory, the GEOC said.
