Police fire blank shots after NC, RJP cadres clash in Sarlahi

The police have fired four blank shots following a clash between Nepali Congress (NC) and Rastriya Janata Party Nepal (RJP) cadres in Karauna rural municipality 2 of Sarlahi on Thursday. The clash ensued after NC cadres accused RJP of bringing individuals not registered in the voter list for voting at Janta School polling booth, according to the police. The police fired four rounds of blank shots to take the situation under control. One Ramrathi Devi Yadav, 40, has suffered minor injuries in the stampede following the clash.
