The District Administration Office (DAO), Bhaktapur has urged all voters to cast without any fear.
Security will be provided to voters from three layers of security forces with the placement of police in the front line, Armed Police Force in the second and Nepal Army in the third, and in case of the occurrence of any untoward incident, security personnel will reach the site right within five minutes, said Chief District Officer Drona Pokharel, also coordinator of the district security coordination committee.
More than 2,000 security personnel have been deployed for the purpose of election security in the district, he said.
A total of 2,504 polling officials have been deployed to altogether 209 polling centers of 78 polling stations. At least 34 polling stations have been marked as sensitive. The district has the total 178,095 registered voters. The second phase of elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies is taking place tomorrow in 45 districts including Bhaktapur.
