Security has been beefed up in Banke in view of the tomorrow's elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies. All necessary poll preparations have been completed, and election employees and security personnel have already reached the polling stations with required election materials, said the district election office.
A total of 327 polling centers have been set up in 136 polling stations, said Chief Election Officer Bishnu Subedi, adding that the distribution of voters' identity card has already begun from the polling centers. Joint police patrolling along the Nepal-India border points has been intensified while such points have been sealed since the Tuesday night for the polls.
Likewise, the District Administration Office, Banke has provided pass for domestic and foreign observers, human rights activists and election candidates to operate their vehicles on the Election Day, while other public and private vehicles are banned.
