The Supreme Court (SC) will continue the hearing on the dispute about appointment of 80 high court judges on Decemebr 14.
The full bench of justices Om Prakash Mishra, Bam Kumar Shrestha and Dambar Bahadur Shahi has decided to continue the hearing on December 14 after not completing the hearing on Thursday, according to deputy spokesperson at the SC Nagendra Kalakheti.
Durga Bandu Pokharel from the Office of the Attorney General and others had moved the Apex Court against the appointment made 13 months ago.
The petitioners claim that the Judicial Council led by the then chief justice Sushila Karki did not follow the procedures set by the Judicial Council Act 1991, and even evaded Judicial Council members while appointing the 80 judges.
