CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel has accused the government of not taking the initiatives for curbing the acts of violence in the run-up to the elections.
Addressing an interaction program with the election candidates of the left progressive alliance from Kathmandu district here on Thursday, Pokharel demanded that the government carry out an impartial investigation into these incidents that have taken place in various districts and book the culprits. The interaction was organized by the Press Chautari and the Press Center Nepal.
He said a government of the left alliance was necessary for the country to bring economic prosperity along with a stable government long cherished by the people. He urged the voters to vote for the left alliance candidates in the House of Representatives and State Assemblies elections on December 7.
