CPN (Maoist Center) leader Barsha Man Pun has said taking up arms and using violence would not benefit the nation anymore.
Pun said this while speaking in the press meet organized by the Press Center and the Press Chautari, Dang in Ghorahi Wednesday.
The former Finance Minister expressed his dismay over his former comrade-in-arms Netra Bikram Chand-led group taking up arms at a wrong time now.
"There was the need to take up arms in the past and we took up arms together. But now the situation is different and there is a place we can reach to socialism and communism through this constitution," he said.
Pun expressed worry saying the arms of the Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand were being used for anarchy and crime.
"The CPN activities are becoming criminal and apolitical in nature. No bombs had been exploded targeting the mass meetings at the time of the People's War in the past. But now bombs are being hurled at mass meetings. This is not political," Pun added.
Pun expressed his anger at the government saying it was not doing anything even when people are killed in the bomb explosion.
