IED exploded targeting team carrying ballot box in Jajarkot

An improvised explosive device was exploded, targeting a team carrying ballot box at Kushe rural municipality-1 in Jajarkot Monday morning. The first phase of elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies were held in 32 districts including in Jajarkot Sunday. One Shanta Bahadur Basnet, who was carrying the ballot box at the time, suffered minor injuries in the explosion, according to Superintendent of Police Bhawesh Rimal. The ballot box was being taken to the district headquarters Khalanga. The explosion caused further no damage and the ballot box is secure, and will be reached to the district headquarters by this evening. Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand has been suspected in the explosion, according to DSP Rimal.
