The Election Commission has started distribution of voter identity cards in the 32 districts that are going for voting in the first phase on Sunday.
Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhi Prasad Yadav revealed distribution has been started from today during a program organized in the Capital Friday. "Copying of electoral rolls and the voters who applied for correction of mistakes should collect the identity cards from the respective polling centers," Yadav stated.
The EC will distribute the identity cards today and Saturday. Existing voters, who have yet to collect their identity cards, and those who enrolled in August will get the identity cards, according to the EC.
The EC will distribute identity cards in the remaining 42 districts, that go for voting in the second phase on December 7, on December 5 and 6.
