Suspected IED found in house of NC cadre in Nuwakot

A material suspected to be an improvised explosive device has been found Wednesday in the house of one Uddhav Thapa, a Nepali Congress cadre, at Sikre rural municipality in Nuwakot. Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhukar Jung Bista said the police have been informed of the incident, and that a bomb disposal team of Nepal Army has been dispatched to the incident site to identify and defuse it if it is a bomb. The incident site has been cordoned off. The incident aims to spread terror and disrupt an election campaign at Shivapuri Sherabagar where NC leader Dr Ram Sharan Mahat is scheduled to address Wednesday.
