Modi calls Dahal to convey condolences

Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi called CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday to convey condolences over death of his only son Prakash Sunday morning. Secretariat of Dahal confirmed that Indian PM Modi called Dahal Sunday itself while Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Yu Hong reached Dahal residence in Lazimpat to express condolences Monday morning. Indian envoy Manjeev Singh Puri had reached the party’s office in Paris Danda where Prakash’s body was kept Sunday afternoon for last respects. The residential office of UN in Nepal, meanwhile, has said the UN is saddened by the unimaginable death of Prakash Dahal at a young age. Prakash Dahal had died Sunday morning.
