Police have arrested Lal Bahadur BC, the Chitwan district in-charge of the Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal. He was arrested on Sunday from Narayangadh market area.
The spokesperson for the District Police Office Chitwan, Deputy Superintendent Prabhu Dhakal said that BC has been arrested as a pre-emptive measure after incidents of attacks on election campaign started increasing of late in Chitwan.
The Communist Party of Nepal, which is opposed to the election, has started carrying out anti-election activities across the country. Before this, police have arrested two people associated with the party from Tandi and Bharatpur for their involvement in anti-election activities.
